Martelli Maccheroni Pasta
Martelli pasta is reportedly made in Italy's smallest pasta factory, in the medieval town of Lari near Pisa. The pasta, to this day, is produced only by members of the Martelli family.
Maccheroni pasta are small tube shapes, lined with ridges making it great for chunky vegetable sauces which will cling to the pasta's surface. This also makes a fantastic mac 'n cheese!
Martelli's pastas are cut with traditional bronze dies and air-dried for around 50 hours (as opposed to conventional pasta, which is oven dried in under an hour). This makes the pasta particularly porous.
Packed in traditional paper packets.
